Standards
Curation standards
Every event on Pullup is manually reviewed before it goes live. Here’s exactly what we check.
Must pass
Confirmed date and time
The event must have a specific date (or a confirmed recurring schedule) and a start time. “TBA” doesn’t make the cut.
Real, verifiable location
We require an actual address or named venue that we can verify on a map. Events listed as “DM for location” are not published.
Legitimate organizer
We check that the event has an identifiable organizer — a business, club, or known individual — not an anonymous post.
Automotive focus
Events must be primarily about cars, motorcycles, or driving culture. Adjacent events (lifestyle markets, etc.) are reviewed case by case.
Los Angeles region
For now, Pullup is LA only. Events must take place within the greater Los Angeles metro area.
Grounds for rejection
Unverifiable details
If we can’t confirm the date, time, or location through at least one primary source, the event is not published.
Canceled or abandoned events
Events that have been canceled or that the organizer has stopped promoting are removed or never published.
Unsafe activity
Events that involve illegal street racing, reckless driving, or activity that endangers the public will not appear on Pullup.
Spam or duplicate submissions
If an event already exists on the platform, re-submissions are ignored. Submission spam results in a ban.
Community submissions
Submissions are reviewed, not auto-approved
When you submit an event, it enters a review queue. Our team reads every submission before anything goes live.
We may contact you
If we need more information to verify a submission, we’ll reach out via the email you provide.
Turnaround time
Most submissions are reviewed within 48 hours. High-volume periods may take longer.
