Motorsport.
The real thing: wheel-to-wheel racing, time attack, and series weekends at the SoCal circuits. Whether you’re there to compete or just to watch good cars driven hard by people who do it for points, this is the calendar.
What to expect
Motorsport weekends are a different scale than a meet or a track day. There’s a schedule: practice, qualifying, and races, often across multiple classes over one or two days. Most are open to spectators, and the paddock is half the experience if you like seeing how the cars are run.
If you’re watching: bring ear protection, sun cover, and water. Grandstands and viewing areas vary by circuit; the corners reward you with the best racing. Check the event link for gate times and whether paddock access is included.
If you’re competing: most series require a license or a novice path, plus a logbooked car and the right safety gear. Each organization runs its own rules, so start at the source link and read the entry requirements before you plan a weekend around it.
Some of these run as one-off weekends; others are rounds of a season. The list is whatever we’ve verified is actually on the calendar.
