Sonoma Raceway is a 2.52-mile road course (12 turns) plus a quarter-mile drag strip in the rolling hills of Sonoma County, opened in 1969 and owned by Speedway Motorsports since 1996. The track has worn several names over the years — Sears Point International Raceway, Golden State International, Sears Point, and Infineon — but the layout that locals know is the road course with its blind crests, off-camber corners, and the famous Turn 11 carousel. Capacity is around 44,000 spectators. The raceway has hosted NASCAR Cup (the Toyota/Save Mart 350), IndyCar, NHRA national events, and decades of regional sports car and motorcycle racing.
